Central to any home is its hearth. For millennia, it’s where friends, family and strangers have come together to break bread; or in our case, locally sourced ingredients cooked over an open fire. And it’s why we designed The Blind Bull with hearths at the centre of our home.
So pull up a chair beside our roaring fire Downstairs or in front of our open kitchen Upstairs. If you can’t wait, peruse our Menus first.
Please note that we now employ a £15 cancellation charge per person for reservations. This is due to a high number of no-shows and same day cancellations. Your card details will be taken at the time of your booking and will only be charged if you cancel within 24-hours of your reservation and we are unable to fill your table.
DOWNSTAIRS
Pub grub is where the heart is. It means straightforward, well-priced and refined classics. This means ensuring we have a superb relationship with our suppliers, so that we know our farmers and their food. Once we have the best ingredients, we let them speak for themselves: no complicated mathematics or magic tricks, just Derbyshire’s produce looking out over Derbyshire’s views. So order something hearty, and say hello to the pub dogs!
UPSTAIRS
Come Upstairs for that special occasion, or just to be indulgent. With a view of our open hearth and kitchen you can watch our team perform their craft. You’ll notice that, from our Head Chef to our weekend waiter, we’re just people who love good food. Our no-fuss menu is the same Up or Down, but you’ll find a quieter space Upstairs away from the convivial babble below.
Please note that we do not accept dogs upstairs. When making a booking please let us know if you are bringing a dog and we will do our best to accommodate.
