As uncertainty abounds we are being kept on our toes by the sudden changes to covid guidance and new regulations. Whilst Derbyshire is not currently in the highest levels of lockdown, many of our neighbouring regions are facing tighter restrictions and we are feeling the effects.
Along with many of our colleagues in the hospitality industry we are having to make some tough decisions to see us through this pandemic. It has become increasingly difficult for us to operate when uncertainty means fewer bookings and walk-ins, and regular cancellations following last-minute changes to the guidance.
Our industry – already operating with a significantly reduced capacity and the imposition of stringent rules – is straining. However, we will once again adapt to ensure we can keep trading, without compromising on quality or the safety of our customers and staff.
A few changes that we will be making from next week:
We will now be opening on Wednesdays from 3pm with food served from 3-8pm. For the time being, Tuesday is the only day we will be completely closed.
Alongside our à la carte menu we will now be offering a set lunch menu Monday – Friday. Our ‘early bird’ special offer continues, with 20% off your food bill between 5-6pm on weekdays.
Our popular Vegetarian Mondays will remain a fixture and our chefs are looking forward to showcasing locally sourced ingredients as the seasons change. As always we will have a changing selection of ales from our favourite local breweries.
On Saturdays we will be serving food all day and on Sundays you can enjoy our hearty Sunday Roasts from 12pm – 5pm.
We are also excited to announce that we will be launching an at home dining menu – more details on the ‘Blind Bull at Home’ will be revealed very soon!
We are determined to keep providing delicious, seasonal and locally sourced food throughout these unprecedented times and are so very grateful for your continued support and custom. We love what we do and are thrilled to welcome you to our historic inn – you can be sure that we are smiling behind our masks!
